Installing SportsPress for Football (Soccer)
Install SportsPress for Football (Soccer) in your WordPress site to apply football-specific terminology and the auto-created Own Goals performance type. Confirm the following before activating.
Requirements
SportsPress 2.3 or newer (free or Pro)
The
sportspress-for-soccer.zipfile from your ThemeBoy account
Steps
Confirm SportsPress is active.
Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Upload
sportspress-for-soccer.zip.Click Install Now, then Activate.
On-activation installer
When the plugin activates for the first time, it runs an installer that creates an Own Goals performance post if one doesn't already exist. The post has:

If you delete the Own Goals performance post and reactivate the plugin, it will be re-created. The installer also runs again automatically if you upgrade the plugin and the post is missing.
Verification
Go to SportsPress → Performance and confirm an Own Goals entry exists with the football icon.
Open the WordPress admin menu — confirm "Matches" replaces "Events", "Grounds" replaces "Venues", and "Clubs" replaces "Teams".
Edit a match and confirm the player performance entry shows an Own Goals column.
