SportsPress for Football (Soccer)
Configure SportsPress for football (soccer) with sport-specific terminology and an automatically-created Own Goals performance type that hides own goals from the standard box score and appends them to the scoring summary.
What it does
Sets the SportsPress default sport to
soccerRemaps labels for football conventions (Events → Matches, Venues → Grounds, Teams → Clubs — see Terminology)
On activation, creates an Own Goals performance post (slug
owngoals, iconsoccerball, color#d4000f) if one doesn't existHides own goals from the standard event box score via
sportspress_event_box_score_labelsHides own goals from match stats via
sportspress_match_stats_labelsAppends own goals to the players' goal display in the team performance summary
Adds "OG" to the SportsPress text options table for label localisation
