SportsPress for Baseball

Configure SportsPress for baseball with sport-specific terminology, partial-inning notation in pitching statistics, and separate batting and pitching sections in the player performance interface.

What it does

  • Sets the SportsPress default sport to baseball so the configuration screen and presets are tuned for baseball

  • Remaps a set of admin and frontend labels to baseball conventions (Events become Games, Venues become Fields, etc. — see Terminology)

  • Adds a Partial Innings checkbox to performance post types, enabling automatic conversion of .1 and .2 decimal notation to 1/3 and 2/3 for innings-pitched statistics

  • Splits the player performance interface into Batting and Pitching sections with different display rules

  • Hides batting-order numbers from non-batting performance contexts via sportspress_event_performance_show_numbers

  • Creates the pitcher_ip performance post on activation if it doesn't already exist

Requirements

  • SportsPress 2.6.17 or newer
