Activating Your License
A license key is required to receive automatic over-the-air updates and to access private support. Without an active key, the plugin still works in full but updates must be applied manually.
Where to Find Your License Key
Your license key is in the purchase confirmation email sent by ThemeBoy. You can also retrieve it at any time by logging in to your account at account.themeboy.com.
Entering the License Key
In your WordPress admin panel, navigate to SportsPress > Settings.
Click the Modules tab.
In the sidebar on the right, locate the License panel.
In the License Key field, enter the key from your purchase email.
Click Activate.
The license key is stored in the WordPress database as the site option sportspress_pro_license_key. On a standard single-site installation this is the same as a regular WordPress option; on Multisite it is stored as a network option, so it only needs to be entered once per network.
License Status Indicators
A checkmark icon (dashicons-yes) next to License Key means the license is valid and active.
A question mark icon (dashicons-editor-help) means no valid license is active. A tooltip reads: "Enter the license key from your purchase receipt."
Deactivating the License
To move the license to a different site, first deactivate it from the current site:
Navigate to SportsPress > Settings > Modules.
In the License sidebar panel, click Deactivate.
The license status is removed from the current site's database, freeing it for use on another installation.
Troubleshooting
If clicking Activate returns "License invalid," double-check that you copied the key exactly with no leading or trailing spaces.
Club licenses are limited to 1 site activation. Deactivate from an old site before activating on a new one.
Updates are checked via account.themeboy.com (the store URL used by the updater).
