Marquee

A professional sports news WordPress theme with a bold typographic style and SportsPress results integration.

Compatibility

Built for SportsPress and SportsPress Pro. The theme declares add_theme_support( 'sportspress' ) so SportsPress template overrides load from the theme's sportspress/ directory. WooCommerce template overrides are also bundled, and theme support is declared for mega-slider, social-sidebar, and news-widget to integrate with ThemeBoy's bundled plugins.

Design

Marquee pairs a saturated blue accent with a near-white content area for high contrast. Headings use Oswald in a strong condensed style; tables have black header rows that stand out against the off-white body — a layout that reads like a sports newspaper.

The layout is fully responsive, so the design adapts to phone, tablet, and desktop breakpoints. Content width defaults to 1000px in the Customizer and can be increased up to 2000px through Appearance → Customize → Layout.
