This is the largest settings tab. It controls how events are created, displayed, and what sections appear on event pages and in calendars.


Event Options

Link — Link events — Makes event titles clickable throughout the site (calendars, widgets, etc.), linking to the individual event page. (Default: enabled)

Layout — A drag-and-drop interface for arranging sections on the single event page template. Toggle switches on each section control whether the section is shown or hidden. Available sections depend on which modules are active.

Tabs — Controls the tabbed navigation on event pages.

Details — Date — Show the event date in the event details section. (Default: enabled)

Details — Time — Show the event time in the event details section. (Default: enabled)

Details — Match Day — Show the match day number in the event details section. (Default: disabled)

Details — Full Time — Show the full-time duration label in the event details section. (Default: disabled)

Default mode — Determines whether events are between teams ("Team vs team") or between individual athletes ("Player vs player"). This affects the event editing screen. (Default: Team vs team)

Limit — Maximum number of teams (or players) that can be added to a single event. Set to 0 for unlimited. (Default: 2 teams)

Delimiter — The separator text displayed between team names in event titles and display areas. Options: vs, v, , /, or a custom string. (Default: vs)

Teams — Filter by league — When editing an event, restrict the team selector to teams belonging to the selected league. (Default: disabled)

Teams — Filter by season — When editing an event, restrict the team selector to teams belonging to the selected season. (Default: disabled)

Full Time — Default match duration in minutes, used as the reference for "full time" in timelines and other displays. (Default: 90 mins)

Comments — Allow people to post comments on new event posts. (Default: disabled)


Venues

Link — Link venues — Makes venue names clickable, linking to the venue archive page. (Default: disabled)

Venue Map — Display venue map — Shows a map on the event page when a venue is assigned. (Default: enabled)

Type — Map type: Default (road map) or Satellite. (Default: Default)

Zoom — Map zoom level, between 0 (world) and 21 (street level). (Default: 15)


Teams

This section controls how team logos and information are displayed in the event header (the "vs" block at the top of an event page).

Order — Reverse order — Reverses the home/away display order of teams in the event header. (Default: disabled)

Layout — Controls whether team logos and names are shown side by side (Inline) or stacked (Block). (Default: Inline)

Display — Name — Show team names alongside logos in the event header. (Default: enabled)

Display — Time — Show the event time in the event header. (Default: disabled)

Display — Results — Show the event result/score in the event header. (Default: disabled)


Players

Order — When adding players to an event in the backend Teams metabox, sort the player checklist by jersey number (e.g. "33. John Doe") or by name (e.g. "John Doe (33)"). This does not affect the Box Score section on the frontend. (Default: Jersey)


Event Results

Columns — Auto: shows all result columns that have been configured. Manual: allows selecting which result columns appear on each event. (Default: Auto)

Outcome — Display outcome — Shows the win/loss/draw outcome label alongside results on event pages. (Default: disabled)


Box Score

Rows — Staff — Include staff rows in the box score table. (Default: enabled)

Rows — Players — Include player rows in the box score table. (Default: enabled)

Rows — Total — Include a totals row at the bottom of the box score. (Default: enabled)

Columns — Auto: shows all performance columns configured globally. Manual: allows per-event column selection. (Default: Auto)

Mode — Values: displays numeric performance data. Icons: replaces values with icons where configured. (Default: Values)

Awards — Controls the player award indicator shown in the box score:

  • None — no award indicator

  • Player of the Match — highlights the designated player

  • Stars — shows star ratings

  • Star Number — shows the number of stars as a numeral

(Default: None)

Positions — Top-level only — In the box score position grouping dropdown, show only top-level positions rather than child positions. (Default: disabled)

Display — Squad Number — Show player squad (jersey) numbers in the box score. (Default: enabled)

Display — Position — Show player position in the box score. (Default: enabled)

Display — Minutes — Show the minutes played column in the box score. (Default: disabled)

Performance — Controls how offense and defense performance categories are organized in the box score:

  • Combined — shows all in one table

  • Offense → Defense — offense table first, then defense

  • Defense → Offense — defense table first, then offense

(Default: Combined)

Total — Controls which players appear in the totals row: All players, or Primary players only. (Default: All)


Event List

Settings for the list-format calendar view (used by the [event_list] shortcode and Event List widget).

Title — Display calendar title — Show the calendar title above the event list. (Default: enabled)

Teams — Display logos — Show team logos in the event list. (Default: disabled)

Title Format — How event titles appear in the list: Title (the event's post title), Teams (the vs-separated team names), or Home | Away (team names split by position). (Default: Title)

Time/Results Format — How time and score are shown in the list:

  • Combined — time and result shown together

  • Separate — time and result in separate columns

  • Time Only — only the event time

  • Results Only — only the final score

(Default: Combined)

Pagination — Paginate — Enable page-number navigation when the number of events exceeds the Limit. (Default: enabled)

Limit — Maximum events per page in a list. (Default: 10 events)


Event Blocks

Settings for the blocks-format calendar view (used by the [event_blocks] shortcode and Event Blocks widget).

Title — Display calendar title — Show the calendar title above the event blocks. (Default: disabled)

Teams — Display logos — Show team logos in each event block. (Default: enabled)

Details — Display league — Show the league/competition in each event block. (Default: disabled)

Details — Display season — Show the season in each event block. (Default: disabled)

Details — Display matchday — Show the match day in each event block. (Default: disabled)

Details — Display venue — Show the venue in each event block. (Default: disabled)

Pagination — Paginate — Enable page-number navigation. (Default: enabled)

Limit — Maximum events per page in the blocks view. (Default: 5 events)


Countdown

Settings for the countdown widget and shortcode.

Display — Logos — Show team logos in the countdown. (Default: disabled)

Display — Featured Image — Show the event's featured image in the countdown. (Default: disabled)


Scoreboard

Appears when the Scoreboard module is active.

Details — Date — Show the event date in each scoreboard cell. (Default: disabled)

Details — Time — Show the event time in each scoreboard cell. (Default: enabled)

Details — League — Show the competition name in each scoreboard cell. (Default: disabled)

Details — Season — Show the season in each scoreboard cell. (Default: disabled)

Details — Venue — Show the venue in each scoreboard cell. (Default: disabled)

Date Format — PHP date format string used to format the date in the scoreboard. (Default: M j)

Teams — Display logos — Show team logos in the scoreboard. (Default: disabled)

Display — Maximum number of events shown in the scoreboard. Set to 0 for unlimited. (Default: 0 events)

Width — Width of each event cell in pixels. (Default: 180 px)

Scroll — Number of events to scroll when the user clicks the next/previous arrows. (Default: 2 events)


Tournaments

Appears when the Tournaments module is active.

Teams — Display logos — Show team logos in tournament brackets. (Default: enabled)

Details — Display venue — Show the venue for each match in the bracket. (Default: disabled)

Details — Display winner — Highlight the winner of each match in the bracket. (Default: enabled)


Timelines

Appears when the Timelines module is active.

Layout — Display the timeline horizontally or vertically. (Default: Horizontal)


Past Meetings

Appears when the Past Meetings module is active.

Layout — Display previous head-to-head encounters in Blocks or List format. (Default: Blocks)


User Scores

Appears when the User Scores module is active. Controls which user roles are permitted to submit event scores.

Role — League Manager — League managers can submit scores for any player. (Default: enabled)

Role — Event Manager — Event managers can submit scores for any player. (Default: enabled)

Role — Team Manager — Team managers can submit scores for their own team. (Default: enabled)

Role — Staff — Staff members can submit scores for their own team. (Default: enabled)

Role — Players — Players can submit their own individual scores. (Default: enabled)
